Executive Summary
Zimmer Dental and biological implant specialist Tutogen Medical have extended a partnership to distribute the latter's Puros bone grafting products in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Zimmer currently distributes the brand in the US, Canada and Latin America, and will be hoping to reinforce its position in a worldwide market that is valued at around $300m per year, according to Alachua, Florida-based Tutogen. The agreement relates to human- and animal-derived bone grafts used to enhance the mandible and maxilla. The grafts are manufactured using the patented Tutoplast process of removing unwanted fats, cells, antigens, and inactivates pathogens, while preserving valuable minerals and collagen matrix that lead to rapid bone regeneration.
