BrainZ Instruments has CE marked for sale in Europe a next-generation version of its bedside infant brain monitor. The BRM3 will be launched onto the European and Middle Eastern markets by the firm's distribution partner GE Healthcare, at the beginning of September. New features of the BRM3 include the option to attach a printer, a redesigned data acquisition unit with expanded features, a summary printout designed to be inserted into the patient record and USB 2.0 compatibility, said the Auckland, New Zealand firm. A US launch of the product will follow 510(k) clearance from the FDA, which is currently underway.
