Executive Summary
Color additives: Office of Management and Budget approves reinstatement of information collection for color additive (other than hair dye) labeling requirements and petitions. FDA announced in a Sept. 30 Federal Register notice that it had forwarded a color additive information collection proposal to OMB; at the time, FDA estimated the annual reporting burden at $6,000 and noted, "if FDA stopped accepting color additive petitions...the number of new color additives approved would decrease." The approval expires Oct. 31, 1999...
