Hamburg, Germany-based firm records preliminary sales of €5.7 bil. ($8.3 bil.) for fiscal 2009, down 3.6 percent from the year prior. Sales in its consumer business segment, which includes Eucerin and NIVEA brands, were down 2.2 percent to €5.01 bil. ($7.2 bil.), though organic sales of the unit increased 1.2 percent.
