Executive Summary
Nervous system therapeutics researcher and developer NeuroSearch AS has spun out a new company, Sophion Bioscience, which will focus on screening systems for drug discovery. It has raised $7.9mm (DKK67.4mm) through investors Medicon Valley Capital, Dansk Erhvervsinvestering AS, Dansk Kapitalanlaeg AB, and Baker-Tisch. NeuroSearch will have a 32% stake in the company; the investors 64%, and Sophion and NeuroSearch employees will hold the remainder.
