IP2IPO Ltd. aims to facilitate technology transfer from UK universities, securing funding and advice to help commercialize intellectual property (IP). It began life as a division of Beeson Gregory (BG), a London-based, niche investment bank with expertise in IT, telecoms, software and biotech. Many of the bank's corporate clients were young, high-tech growth companies, often university spin-outs themselves.

As a result of dealing with these clients, BG, established close ties with a number of universities. These links provided BG with valuable insight and access to new start-up growth...
