Patient monitoring data is collected constantly, by patients’ smart phones and watches, fitness trackers and apps, and connected devices such as blood pressure monitors, scales or smart pill bottles. Unfortunately, these data are largely not aggregated or assembled for clinical research, outside of individual studies.
