Instead of focusing on the development of its own consumer health care offerings and pushing them out into an increasingly crowded marketplace of software, product and service providers, Microsoft is using its existing technology and platforms to play a supporting role in the growth of its selected business partners. Through large-scale initiatives such as Microsoft for Startups, AI for Health, Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and Microsoft Genomics, among others, the company aims to bring better connectivity to health care organizations, including biopharmaceutical companies, pharmacies and health systems.
