GE HealthCare added a new chapter to the 130-year history of GE Corp when it spun off from the group on 3 January. CEO Peter Arduini laid out his plans for the standalone medtech giant at the company’s recent Investor Day 2022.

As first signaled in mid-2018, General Electric has completed the separation of its health care business. GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. was launched on 3 January 2023 and GE HealthCare began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker GEHC on 4 January.
